The Role
Hanover Research is actively recruiting for our Summer Revenue Interns to work in our Arlington, VA office. This is a paid internship and will promote the swift development and refinement of a comprehensive set of revenue prospecting and outreach skills. The Revenue Intern will be responsible for assisting revenue teams with prospecting research and creating email campaigns. The Research Intern will report directly to the Internship Coordinators as well as their respective Managing Director.   
 
Responsibilities

Revenue Project Responsibilities (75%)
  • Conduct prospecting research using tools like LinkedIn, Hoovers, etc.
  • Work with Revenue staff to create and send out email campaigns.
  • Analyzing NACE codes and other data;
  • Other research special projects as needed.
 
Professional Development (25%)
  • Attend interdepartmental Lunch & Learn sessions.
  • Attend regular in-house training sessions, such as Excel and Tableau workshops, to develop and enhance research skills;
  • Sit in on team research meetings and transcribe meeting notes and highlight meeting themes.
 
Desired Skills and Attributes
  • High comfort level with Microsoft Office applications, such as MS Excel and MS Word;
  • Proven academic achievement;
  • Well-organized, excellent attention to detail;
  • Strong command of the English language and demonstrated writing skills;
  • Strong interest in conducting primary and secondary research;
  • Ability to take ownership of assigned project from start to finish;
  • Ability to work quickly and independently with minimal guidance or oversight;
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Comfort with or experience interacting professionally with others over the phone and/or email;
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple short and long-term projects in order to meet deadlines;
  • An extremely strong and demonstrable work ethic;
  • Experience writing for a business / professional audience is preferred;
  • Experience in a secondary or post-secondary research role (institutional research, assessment, etc.) is preferred.
 
Time commitment per week
40 hours for 12 weeks (June 4th, 2018 – August 17th, 2018)
 
Compensation
$14/hour
 
Education Requirements  
All levels of academic attainment may apply. College seniors preferred.
